January 27th 2013

Dear All,
Greetings from Los Angeles! Saturday – on the campus of UCLA – was the historic opening and first class of the International College of Christian Ministries (ICCM)! At the end of the summer of 2012, the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education approved the City of Angels Church’s application for the founding of the International College of Christian Ministries. We received the “Verification of Exempt Status,” which will allow the ICCM to grant Bachelor’s, Master’s and even Doctoral Degrees in Ministry according to “our” Biblical doctrines and standards! Present at the first class were 31, who are pursuing BA Degrees in Ministry (25 of whom are our newly selected “unpaid Interns”), and also in attendance were three other disciples pursuing their Master’s Degrees!

To honor Jesus, the Motto for the ICCM is
“Venia et Veritas” – “Grace and
Truth” from John 1:14!

The BA Degree from the ICCM is the equivalent to being appointed to the role of Evangelist or Women’s Ministry Leader, as well as in some cases, the role of Shepherd, Shepherdess or Administrator. Therefore, we will formally recognize already appointed Evangelists and Women’s Ministry Leaders in our movement, (if they register with the ICCM), by bestowing on them Bachelor’s Degrees of Ministry at the first graduation ceremony on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Global Leadership Conference! Many more details will be shared in this coming Sunday’s City of Angels Church Bulletin! This official announcement in the bulletin will truly make next Lord’s Day a “Super Sunday!”

Equally faith-building was our Bring Your Neighbor Day!Though the flu has hit many of us, as well as rain in many locations on Sunday in LA, our attendance for our Bring Your Neighbor Day was a record 1,377! Also this week, the City of Angels Church witnessed five baptisms and three restorations! So for the first 27 days of 2013, the Lord has added to our number 32 – 20 baptisms, 3 restorations and 9 place memberships! And to God be the glory!

Now more detailed reports from around Los Angeles…

Lou Jack Martinez of the AV Sector of the Central Region:We are REJOICING GREATLY here in the ANTELOPE VALLEYas the LORD OUR GOD is doing “immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine!!!” Thirteen years after falling away from the LORD after a tragic accident in her home – and it’s even more tragic aftermath – DIANE BITE was RESTORED TO THE LORD TODAY!!! Getting together with Diane this week, there were tears of sadness and tears of brokenness before the LORD! And finally – after getting together last Friday with Kip & Elena McKean, who drove all the way to the Antelope Valley (some 80 miles one way) for this “one lost sheep” – Diane had tears of joy for her repentance, renewal andRESTORATION!!!

I thank God sooo much for my amazing wife Cathi, who truly allowed the Holy Spirit to work powerfully through her to help Diane begin the spiritual healing process! And also for Lona Aguirre… Now, Sister Mamie Cecile from Kinshasa may be “The Bulldozer,” but our Lona is the “Bull-DOG,” as she tenaciously went after Diane, since we first “planted” the AV Ministry in Clay & Rashima Erickson’s living room last March!!! God also gave us our largest attendance to date with 116!!! AND 16 OF THOSE WERE BROUGHT BY DIANE, including her best friend in all the world – and sister in the LORD, Hsienman (pronounced Shey Mun) Warrior – who Diane baptized during her missionary days in Misawa, Japan! Hsienman traveled all the way from Denver, Colorado to support Diane!!! Now that’s family! And to God be the glory!

Hsienman (pronounced Shey Mun) warmly
congratulates Diane after her restoration!

Gabe Reed: Greetings from the Mighty East Region! Today was our Bring Your Neighbor Day in the City of Angels Church… and the East Region disciples totally blew it out!! The room was packed with many first time visitors, as well as many of our family and friends! Today the visitors out-numbered the disciples and leading the way was our dynamic Teen Ministry led powerfully by Miguel Limon and Sarah Gonzalez! With just seven disciples in the Teen Ministry, these amazing young people brought out 15 visitors! Also especially encouraging to so many of us in the East Region was the restoration of 16 year old Daniel Puc!

Finally, my girlfriend Stephanie & I would like to say how encouraged we are to not only be selected as “unpaid Interns” in the church here, but to also be able to participate in theInternational College of Christian Ministries! Saturday morning was so very inspiring and humbling to be selected to participate in this historical event in the Kingdom of God! We are honored to be a part of such an outstanding group of young leaders. We look forward to the opportunity to build relationships and train with some of the best church builders in the entire world. The first class session was nothing short of phenomenal, and we encourage anyone out there with a dream to go into the ministry to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity! So with our ICCM assignments due and so many friends to follow up with from our BYND, there is [definitely] much to do in the Kingdom of God, and we here in the East Region are eager to get to work! Pray for us as we pray for each one of you!

Argo Lips – the IE Region Leader and overseeing Evangelist of Russia: Paul writes to the Ephesians, “Speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the head that is Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:15-16) Today at our Bring Your Neighbor Day, our dear Father in Heaven blessed the several months of hard work and prayers of the saints in the Inland Empire! Amazingly, the 28 “IE” disciples had a blow-out attendance of 82! Our service today was electric, fellowship was cranking, and disciples and visitors were inspired by the sermon, Dare To Care!

The communion message was heartwarming. Our dear sister Ashleigh Friends, who together with her boyfriend Ighodaro Odighizuwa lead a new Bible Talk at San Bernardino Community College, shared her amazing conversion story! Our sister Thea Beach did a phenomenal job performing two songs accompanied by our young talented brothers – Isaiah Greeks (piano) and Brandon Britton (guitar)! And at the end of our service, we saw two incredible young women enter into the Kingdom of God! Amber – who is a student in Riverside Community College – and Myrna from the University of California Riverside, were baptized as sold-out disciples of Christ! And to God be always the glory!

Amber and Myrna excitingly embrace
each other after their baptisms!

Also, I’m so happy to share with you that God is continuing to bless our brothers and sisters in Moscow, Russia, as there were two more additions this past week! A great young man Sasha was baptized into Christ, and Slava, who at one time was a fulltime minister in the ICOC, was restored to God’s family! We are so encouraged by the faith of our dear friends Fred & Alja Muratov, who are leading the Moscow Remnant Group. Three years ago, there were only four remnant disciples in Moscow. Through their perseverance and hard work, God helped them grow from four to nine disciples in 2011, and from nine to 17 in 2012! They are praying that God would more than double them during the year 2013! Pray for the Moscow Remnant Group as they prepare to welcome and serve the Moscow Crown of Thorns Mission Team – to be led by Oleg & Aliona Sirotkin – in less than two years! And to God be the glory!

Cory Blackwell of South Central: Today was one incredible day… one I will not soon forget! How beautiful it is when brothers and sisters work in the spirit of unity. (Psalm 133:1) Our Bring Your Neighbor Day was titled, Turn To God. This indeed happened, as the 69 sold-out disciples of South Central had a record attendance of 210! Last year, we did not follow up very well, so this year we repented, and we added 40 new studies! At our Leadership Meeting that began at 7PM and ended at 10:30PM, we talked about the urgency of getting with every study this week and giving them their chances to hear the gospel.

For me, there were three highlights at our BYND: The first was seeing the restoration of Karen Jones, my children’s grandmother and my “ex-mother-in-law!” At the end of her sharing she said, “Now I am free!” And as she cried, my eyes were filled with tears from great joy! The second highlight was at the end of service… I called all those who needed prayer, or who needed to repent, or who wanted to start studying the Bible to have a relationship with God to come forward toward the pulpit and let me pray with them. Over 100 people came forward! Finally, we shared an International Potluck Dinner with our friends and families – there must have been over 15 different international food dishes prepared! I am so proud of the South Central Region brothers and sisters, as two years ago, we were a group of nine… and today, God gathered over 200! And to God be all the glory!

Chris Broom of the OC Region: Psalm 143:8 says, “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.” Truly, that is how we felt in Orange County this morning as we gathered for our Bring Your Neighbor Day! Honestly, it has been two of the hardest weeks I can remember battling the flu in our household. My son Austin has missed a week of school, and he and I have both been to the urgent care for “IV’s” and chest X-rays. And we are not alone… as across the ministry, many of our disciples, leaders and their children have been taken out by the flu as well, and many were not physically able to attend church today. Many others, while very ill, pushed through and were serving valiantly to make the service awesome!

On top of that, Nikki Williams – one of our Interns – had to go into the hospital to have her gallbladder removed and was brokenhearted that she wasn’t able to be at service today! Gino Arizmendi was supposed to pray for our service, but also missed it last minute because he had to take his sick brother to the hospital; and our dear sister Mariela, who was just recently restored directly from the ICOC, had to miss because she took an emergency flight to Mexico to see her mother who is dying. She landed today and is taking a bus to Cuernavaca, where her sick mother lives with her brother. Many thanks to Victor Gonzalez, the leader of our church in Mexico City, who is going to follow up and care for her family there. Please keep these situations in your prayers.

Regardless of all these obstacles, God – who ALONE brings the victory (Proverb 21:31) – blessed us with a completely packed house of 187 at our English Service and a great showing of 93 at our Spanish Service for a total attendance of 280! The service itself was very moving! The singing was outstanding with special songs by Walt Whitaker accompanied on guitar by Ryan Lomeli, as well as Carl Buckner and Christina Dawson who “rocked the house” for all of the youth that filled the room! Tony & Therese Untalan gave a moving communion, and Mike Schafer presented a very creative and challenging contribution message. The sermon was entitled, Show Me The Way. There were three simple points: 1) The Right Way! 2) The Narrow Way! and3) The Only Way!

We closed the service seeing Kevin baptized! Kevin is a teen who was brought out by his mom who has been attending our Spanish-speaking Sector. Kevin shared in tears how trapped in the darkness he had been and vowed from this day forward to be a different person as he serves God! It was incredible to have his family witness his baptism in between our two services (English and Spanish), so both ministries could rejoice together! Pray for us as we strive to bring in the harvest of souls!

The OC Brothers welcome Kevin to
the City of Angels Church family!

Onto the good news from around the globe…

Raul Moreno of Sao Paulo: “In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents!” (Luke 15:10) There was joy in Heaven this week, as Raquel and Fernanda were “born again”through the waters of baptism! Both of them are students at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), which is the top school in Brazil! They are fired-up for our dear God in Heaven and want nothing more but to please Him!

Also, the Sao Paulo Church is fired-up for The Central & South American Missions Conference in Santiago, Chile, as we have 16 who have purchased their plane tickets and are very excited about going! They are counting down the days to meet their Chilean brothers and sisters and to see Latin America won for Christ! We love you with the love of the Lord!

George Grima of Paris: “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people…”(Acts 2:46-47) Salut tout le monde! Angelica & I are pleased to give an update on the work for our Lord in Paris, France: We have been in Paris now for just over two weeks, and we are thrilled to daily put our hands to the work of our Lord spreading His gospel throughout Paris and encouraging the saints.

George & Angelica’s apartment – which is near
the Sorbonne – has provided a second home
for the Paris Campus disciples!

While several disciples here have been battling the flu, the gospel keeps marching on! In an effort to keep pace with God’s powerfully advancing Kingdom, we now have Staff Meetings on Wednesday mornings at our home. We spend about an hour listening to Kip’s message online from the Staff Meetings held in LA. Kip’s recent message on Remnant Theology was a huge hit and a great reminder for us to continue to build a sold-out base of disciples for Jesus Christ! This is a great way for us to keep “true north” with the church here in Paris!

We were delighted to have two visitors for the afternoon Bible Talk on Friday. This Bible Talk is usually held during lunch time at the Quik Fast Food Restaurant not far from Luxembourg Garden. Philippe Scheidecker – the leader of the Paris Church – conducted an excellent Bible Talk on James 4 about making plans with God. We typically occupy a corner of the restaurant and crack open our Bibles. One non-Christian, Robert, who was already sitting at the edge of the table, did not realize he was sitting on holy ground for God’s Word that moment! I gave him a Bible to read and asked him to join us. He decided to stay and listen to Philippe and was fascinated by the disciples all reading from God’s Word in the open public. Robert later went on to introduce me to his wife who is studying law in Paris. They are both from Algeria. I was struck on how God’s mercy brought them in contact with God’s people in the middle of all the present trouble in Algeria and the African continent.

Another delight for us was to have dinner earlier in the week with Nicolas, a former member of the Paris ICOC from back in 1991. Amazingly, his visit lasted five hours! We had a great time together as we were all very open about our lives. I went on to share with Nicolas about a new “Bible Talk/Fireside Chat” that Angelica & I will be starting on Friday nights at our apartment along with Tricia, Alex and Blessings. The plan is to invite former members of the ICOC in an effort to inform, heal and strengthen them to join God’s new movement here in Paris!

Finally, house churches were held in three locations for services today. Phil McCallen preached a powerful message at our home on Rue Herschel. Our house was full! Everyone enjoyed a meal from Angelica’s now famous kitchen! Please continue to pray for us as we continue to turn the Parisians “upsidedown” for the Lord! “…et jusqu’aux extremites de la terre.” (Actes 1:8)

Ron Harding of Washington DC: Greetings from the Capital of the United States of America! It was an amazing weekend as we had our Bring Your Neighbor Day! In the early morning, we found that the hotel had booked all of the rooms that we normally use. They put us in a very small room that would only hold 90 people. Just after 8AM, we all pulled together and prayed that the Lord would turn things around… And turn them around He did! The hotel gave us three adjoining rooms. But, while we had to use a “shotgun set-up,” we had a record breaking attendance of 184! So many studies were set-up! Also, visiting with us was a key leadership couple from the ICOC. As well, we are looking forward to another former evangelist – who contacted Kip on Facebook – visiting DC in two weeks to “check-out” the DC Church.

After all the excitement from church, we had an incredible Kingdom wedding! Chez & Chyna were engaged when they first came to church two months ago. They decided to separate and move out to individually study the Bible and get their lives right with the Lord. Now as true disciples, who took a stand for purity in their relationship for the honor of God, they became husband and wife! It was a precious moment that one can only experience in the Kingdom… Just as exciting was the engagement of Afa Maile & Tromila Wheat! We are very grateful to be a part of a movement that is growing and drawing in the remnant from all over the world! (Nehemiah 1:8-9)

Congratulations to Chez & Chyna!

Jay Shelbrack of Chicago: “All nations will stream to it!”(Isaiah 2:2) This was an amazing week for the Chicago Church, and I am truly in awe of how God is working here – five baptisms this week! Not only did we have a record attendance on a “non-push Sunday” of 321, but we also had only four people missing this Sunday and last!

The North Region, which is so powerfully led by Joe & Denise Chiappetta – a non-fulltime couple, has had six baptisms in eight weeks! This week they had two! Helena, who is from China, was baptized December 12th and this week two of her friends, also from China, were baptized! First, Simon, who is a Master’s student in finance at Loyola, was baptized on Tuesday night! Then Simon reached out to his friend Zhang, who is a Master’s student in Computer Science at the prestigious Illinois Institute of Technology, and he was baptized on Thursday! All three students from China have only been in the US for eight months or less! Without question, God is building His mission team to China!

Also on Thursday night, we had two more baptisms in the Latin Ministry dynamically led by Juan & Betty Garcia. Javier & his girlfriend Lulu first came to visit in October when Matt & Helen Sullivan were guest speakers for our Marrieds Retreat. They had been married in the past, but divorced almost a year ago… but later came back together. So, they were challenged to make Jesus Lord of their relationship, and so, Lulu moved out to begin a pure relationship. Then they were baptized on Thursday and married the same night!

Finally, Estella was met by Gabby (also of the Latin Ministry!) a few months ago at her job, but then Gabby ended up leaving for another job. Gabby continued to persevere and today Estella became your sister in Christ!

Key disciples from Chicago’s North Region: Dannyl,
Akiwande, Haitian, Simon, Brandon, Helena
and Joe Chiappetta – the Region Leader!

This weekend was especially encouraging to the church as we had our first Church Banquet, which started with a great meal and a variety of entertainment. We can certainly say, “Chicago has talent!” The overflow of performances continued at service today and the finale was a video of all that happened in 2012! We were encouraged at the miracles from God: the lives that had been changed, the weddings, the babies born (both spiritually and physically), the celebrations, and of course, we were all brought to tears as we remembered all of our dear friends that left the family here to be parts of other great missions now in London, LA, Boston and of course, San Francisco! Please pray for us as we continue to honor God with“the fruit of lips that confess His name!” (Hebrews 13:15)

Andrew Smellie of New York City: “[God] determines the times set for [us] and the exact places where [we] should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out to Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.” (Acts 17:26-27) Greetings from New York City! After the incredible “momentum builder” of our 2013 Winter Workshop last week, God continues to add to our number as Ricky was baptized today at our Bring Your Neighbor Day!

Ricky was first met early last year by the sisters in our Queens Ministry. However, as he studied the Bible, he “became afraid,” mostly because of his strong Catholic background and stopped attending. Ricky, however, never stopped remembering what he had learned, and the Lord gave him another opportunity to“seek Him” when another Queens sister saw him on the subway late last year and reached out to him again! This time, Ricky was eager to “seek and reach out” to the Lord and get united with Him! Ironically, Ricky had held on to the notes in The Study Series, so when the brothers studied with him again, he stated, “It’s time to study the Kingdom!” As he shared at his baptism, today, he stated, “It’s unfortunate that not one person who I invited decided to come out to see my baptism today, but that’s okay. They may have missed my baptism, but I will be there for theirs!” That is the heart of a faithful disciple! God is working powerfully in New York City! We love you!

Ricky proclaims, “Jesus is Lord!”

John Malnegro of Manila: Mabuhay! “Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession…” (Exodus 19:5) As God’s church here in Manila, Philippines, we firmly hold on to God’s faithful promise to be His “treasured possession.” Today in our worship service, we (the sold-out disciples of Jesus) gathered at the QC Circle, a prominent park of the north area of the Metro Manila, in Quezon City – the most populated city of the Metropolitan. Celebrating the Lord’s death in our communion and also honoring the birthday celebrants of January, everyone – including our visiting friends – were filled with awe before God with the kind of “family atmosphere” that all of us are experiencing. This kind of genuine love and spirit, are made possible only when Jesus is Lord of EVERY MEMBER INSIDE the fellowship!

Also excitingly, God gave the brothers five additional Bible studies this week… And they were all friends of Kim – our sister who contacted Kip on Facebook just two weeks ago! Pray as Kim is now very near of getting restored. Lastly, special thanks to Kyle & Joan Bartholomew, for their faith and love, that was passed on to us through the incredible discipling we receive from them through Skype! Please continue to pray for us here in the Philippines, as God’s Spirit is now starting to move in Davao City, calling out the remnants to make a stand for God! And to God be the glory!

Enjoying the fellowship after service are Oliver,
Kim’s friend who finished the Seeking
God Study, Kim and John!

Jake Ramsier of Honolulu: Aloha from Oahu! Today, we had a great celebration for two soldiers, both veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and “soldiers of Christ!” We celebrated the first, Brady, at his send-off party as he leaves to join the church in Orlando. Brady shared that it was “deeply moving” to hear the church express all the ways that he had encouraged us during his time in Hawaii. The second veteran that we celebrated was Bronson, as he made the decision to become a disciple and then rose from the waters of baptism! Pray for the “ends of the earth” – as more soldiers are on the way! (Isaiah 41:5)

Michael Williamson of London: “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.” (1 Peter 1:3) We had a powerful Sunday service today with the addition of four great souls to the church, bringing our membership to exactly 90! We are literally bursting at the seams, averaging 120 in attendance, and we are excited to be moving to a new room seating 300 this February!

The congregation was in awe as we heard the testimony of one of our sold-out teen disciples – Simone McNichols! She shared what the cross of Christ meant to her. Simone is not only a great scholar, but a budding young actress from Oxford who has appeared on the BBC! She shared how grateful she was for her mother Coral (a disciple) and the sisters who reached out to her. However, her transformation really took place once she visited our mighty sister church in LA during the Global Leadership Conference! It was only after seeing the “Kingdom” and the standard of love, that she committed to studying the Bible wholeheartedly. Simone and our other teens of course cannot wait to attend Camp IGNITE this year! (Thanks so much DJ & Kacie!)

Simone boldly shares her testimony!

Our first addition was Ashley who is studying abroad here from the Parson’s School of Design in NYC. Ashley will be attending the London School of Fashion (home to lecturers Jimmy Choo, Tom Ford and Donatella Versace) for a semester in London. Please pray we can start a new Bible Talk there! The next addition was the restoration of our brother Klint, who was baptized in 1999. Klint has been attending our former fellowship but because in his words, “There was no call to discipleship… and there was no growth,” Klint decided to join us. After attending Bible Talk in the East Region, Klint realized that in fact he had fallen away – “inside the church!” (Revelation 3:2-3) He studied with the brothers and was added to our number today!

Then one of our most evangelistic, radical campus brothers Jamal (who at one stage had no faith in God and was homeless) baptized a fellow Italian man, Jonathan! We closed out with the baptism of an incredible campus student named DIVINE. Truly,“God’s ‘divine’ power has given us everything we need! The church is so grateful to our current interns Jen Watkins, Kia Pope and Yomi Bello, not to forget London’s former “Big Three” Tyler Sears, Sarah Dimitry and Steve Morici, alongside our former campus leaders – Molten Coltin and Mighty Mandy. Keep us in your prayers!

Eugene Sobolev of Kiev: God is awesome! Last weekend, the Lord moved powerfully in our 2013 Winter Workshop!Excitingly, God brought to us disciples of Jesus from Moscow and Novosibirsk, Russia! And not only that, we witnessed the restoration of the first disciple from Belarus – Slava! Slava was baptized in 1994 in Minsk, Belarus, and unfortunately lost his fire for Jesus. He was so impressed by the hearts of the Moscow disciples, that he repented and joined the movement!

At the Sunday service, we also saw the restoration of Natasha, who left about a year ago. God broke her heart, she repented and proclaimed Jesus to be her Lord again! During this incredible weekend, we had fired-up Biblical teaching, a Dance Party, fellowship, dates and many, many other events! It is so great to be a part of the Kingdom! And to God be the glory!

Jeremy Ciaramella: Greetings from the “Valley of ‘The Son!'” It was an amazing Lord’s Day today in Phoenix! With our Bring Your Neighbor Day, we had over 140 in attendance with dozens of studies set-up! “[We] planted the seed, [and we] watered it, but God made it grow!” (1 Corinthians 3:6)

There was special music for communion of which I am very encouraged that my awesome wife Amy sang harmony on! The contribution was also a very creative presentation illustrating (with 10 lemons) how we need to give our first-fruits to God and anything else is giving Him left-overs. It was also our Seventh Annual Chili Cook-Off after service, and all our visiting friends and family stuck around for this tasty competition, and of course, the electric fellowship!

As an intro to the sermon today, I asked our dear brother Tony Stanley to give the rendering of the second half of the famous speech by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. entitled, I Have A Dream. Tony did this ENTIRELY from memory, and this led into the title of the sermon, God Has A Dream! Now it is time for us to “be wise in the way [we] act toward outsiders; [and] make the most of every opportunity!” (Colossians 4:5) Pray for us to go after all the studies and that God will make His family grow here, as we diligently water the seeds planted by this incredible service! To our Father be the glory!

Lola Lof: Greetings from Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo! We are grateful to the Lord for His love, compassion and miracles which the Kinshasa Church sees “day-in and day-out!” Firstly, our awesome Congregational Sunday Service gathered with 365 people in attendance, and was ignited with a powerful sermon preached by Micky who challenged us to be humble like Jesus. Secondly, we have been blessed by God during the week as three more were added to our numbers through the waters of baptism of whom two were men – Elvery and Hugues, and one woman – Sarah! Of special note, Willy and Carlène were restored and all the church embraced them warmly! God’s love and compassion produced each of these five miracles!

Carlos Mejia: ¡Hola! From Santiago de Chile! Things are really heating up here, as our Bring Your Neighbor Day was flat awesome! There were so many visitors, many of whom studied the Bible directly afterward! An abundant harvest is expected this summer!

We are also extremely excited for our First Annual Central & South American Missions Conference coming up in just over two weeks! Please check out our website, www.icisantiago.cl for updated information or to register! We are so grateful for all the disciples that are planning on making the trip! Also of note, our brother Albert Wagers, our very own “Barnabas,” who moved here from “DC” to support the church, has been able to hire five disciples at the P.F. Changs, which he manages! It is so encouraging to see the needs of our family being met, just as they were among our brothers and sisters in the first century! GOD IS MOVING POWERFULLY!

Santiago is a city of over seven million lost souls!

Mandee Rohn: Greetings from the beautiful city of Boston! Over the holiday break, our sister Yvonne of Phoenix came to visit her physical and spiritual family here in Boston. When Yvonne came to church she always brought several friends or family members along with her. Jenny Rydstedt quickly wrapped her arms around Yvonne’s sister Eva, and eagerly began to study the Bible with her. On Tuesday night, the church rejoiced as Eva made her good confession and was baptized!

Today, we had a very moving worship service as Sal DiFusco preached a powerful lesson entitled, God Wants To Show-Off In Your Life. Sal did a wonderful job emphasizing how God wants to use and bless our lives in great ways. The message was very appropriate as shortly after the sermon, Sal sat down beside his two sons and saw his awesome wife Jennifer restored to God’s Kingdom! (In our former fellowship Sal & Jennifer were fulltime and served as the AMS Region Leaders for Boston!) Jennifer shared vulnerably with tears in her eyes about how thankful she is to God and His Kingdom for helping her find her way again. I’m so grateful for all the hard work and love of our dear sister Kama as she has wonderfully shepherded Jennifer back into a relationship with God. Please keep us in your prayers!

Sal & Jennifer DiFusco!

Mike Patterson: God has been moving powerfully in the Orlando Church, as well as in our “Reality Ministries” (our name for our Campus Ministry) which is now a club on campus! We started off the semester with a bang by beginning our new “Real Talks” (Bible Talks) in the dorms at the University of Central Florida (UCF), and also, we are in the process of starting a new one at Valencia College! Excitingly today at church, we had two UCF students baptized into Christ! Robert, who was met by one of our campus leaders, Smoot, who simply asked Robert what his purpose in life was. He answered, “To love God and serve others!” Robert studied the Bible and broke-up with his non-Christian girlfriend and left his Baptist church to become a disciple! Robert now desires to lead in God’s kingdom!

The other student baptized was Travis! The Lord allowed me to meet Travis in the student union. Travis joined our afternoon Real Talk over lunch and quickly fell in love with the fellowship! And in two weeks’ time, he made Jesus Lord of his life today.

Travis and Robert – spiritual twins
from the UCF Campus!

The whole church has been growing as the contribution has been over $3,000 the last two weeks! Matt started an amazing Book of Romans Series that has been very challenging and inspiring while we have consistently had over a hundred at church – today 122! In addition, over half the church was at Sunday’s Leaders Meeting last week, and 23 fired-up disciples sacrificed to be at our new MTP (Ministry Training Program) Class at 5:00AM Saturday mornings! God has now given the Orlando church six baptisms in the first four weeks of 2013! Please continue to pray for us as we evangelize Orlando!

Debs Rajan of Chennai: Greetings from the land of over a million gods – India! Every state in India has its own festivals. Recently, our state had a three day holiday: one day to worship their vehicles, another to worship cows, and another to worship the sun! Eight of our sisters who worship the “true and living God” instead decided to use the holiday wisely… Mishal, Yassa, Maria, Rhea, Leno, Pracela, Shimrah and Debzy went out and invited 280 people in about four hours!

Also, Fredrick – who was baptized just last month – did the same, as he invited his friend Naresh to church. Naresh was impacted by the love of the disciples, started to study the Bible, and brought his wife, Beulah, and they both were baptized! Seeing their lives change, Naresh invited his older brother Vasanth to church. Vasanth came and studied the Bible as he was looking for the truth and he too was baptized!

Likewise, Raja had invited his cousin Priya to church 22 years ago as a young Christian. Since Priya comes from a very traditional Hindu background, she was not willing to make changes. We have been in touch with her and praying for her. Last week, she went through a real bad patch in her life, and so, she decided to come to our house to find solace. Instead, she found the Lord! We studied the Bible and she was baptized in five days! This Sunday, we had a communion service “first century style” with roti (Indian bread) prepared by the Married Sisters and chicken curry lovingly made by Priya – our youngest sister in Christ! The disciples loved it and we along with the angels in Heaven are rejoicing to have seen God add seven new souls this month!

Chennai’s seven January baptisms – Maheshwari,
Priya, Beulah, Naresh, Vasanth, Subash and
Mahesh (seated) – rejoice in the Lord!

Dearest Brothers and Sisters, prayer is the need of the hour! Pray for The Central & South American Missions Conference in Santiago; pray for the ICCM to attract and equip more and more students for the ministry; pray for our upcomingWomen’s Days; pray for the April Missions Contributions; and finally, let us all pray together for the launching of the 2013 Mission Teams to: Las Vegas (April), Denver (August), Dallas (December), and Sydney, Australia (December)! And may “the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.”(Philippians 4:23)
Much love,
