April 14th 2013

Dear All,
Greetings to disciples around the world from the City of Angels Church! At Sunday’s All Congregational Worship, we literally “packed the house,” as the Sheraton Hotel simply had no more chairs to give us! The service was such a joyous celebration culminating in the send-off of the Las Vegas Mission Team! Adding another reason for our great joy in the Lord, two very respected remnant (“veteran”) couples traveled to join us for the weekend – Mike & Dena Sanicola of Nashville and Gustavo & Claudia Escobedo of Guatemala City! On Tuesday upon returning to Guatemala, the Escobedos will establish the Guatemala City Remnant Group!

The Escobedos are refreshed by the singing of
the disciples who greeted them at LAX!

In our former fellowship, Mike & Dena have faithfully served God in a fulltime capacity in Sao Paulo, Miami, Denver and LA making a tremendous impact wherever God sent them! Excitingly, the Sanicolas will again serve in the fulltime ministry, as “Silases” to Jeremiah & Julie Clark in planting Denver this summer!

Mike & Dena Sanicola visit the City of Angels
Church with their three awesome
sons – Nico, Michael and Gino!

To close this momentous service, the Spirit sent out the Las Vegas Mission Team through the prayer of our three City of Angels Shepherds – Michael Kirchner, Nick Bordieri and Tony Untalan! God continues to bestow His gracious blessings on His people in Los Angeles, as this week, the Lord added 11 to our number – 8 baptisms and 3 restorations!

The Las Vegas Mission Team receives their
“UpsideDown Globes” as they are sent-out
by the Spirit at Sunday’s Worship Service!

As for the CAICC Basketball League, on Saturday at the first semi-final playoff game, the Lakers (AMS, North & Ventura Regions) cooled off the Heat (Central & East Regions) 42 – 39! Then to determine who would face the Lakers in the finals, the Knicks (OC & IE Regions) defeated the Bulls (South Central Region) 71 – 49! We also had a third game of the day – our All Star Game!

Chris Broom served as the Coach for
the incredible South All Star Team!

Though some players had already played in earlier games that day and were “a bit” tired, we were treated to “a show” as the North All Stars (Lakers, Heat & Thunder) edged the South All Stars (Knicks, Celtics & Bulls) by blocking – in the last two seconds – a potentially “game winning three point shot” by one of the league’s best – Robbie Robinson! And so the North All Stars won: 69 – 67! The leading scorers for the game were Ace Watkins (North / Heat) and Robbie Robinson (South / Knicks)!

The North All Star Team was coached to a
thrilling victory by Chris Chloupek!

Congrats to all of our All Stars, as well as to Alton Liu – the amazing fan of the Thunder – who on Sunday morning in front of the entire congregation received the Spirit Award from Cory Blackwell!

Alton Liu receives the prestigious
Spirit Award on his 23rd Birthday!

So next Saturday, April 19, at 10AM we will have the “Three Point Contest” followed immediately by the Championship Game – Knicks vs. Lakers! Of special note, at the beginning of the season, each team is allowed one non-disciple player. So it was so exhilarating for the whole Celtics Team (South Region) that Clark Burrell’s long-time friend Amar Pandaranga – and a star for the Celtics and the league – was baptized on Sunday!

Through the gospel and the Basketball League,
Amar has become a “son” to Elena & me!

Not only was I personally so encouraged by Amar’s decision, but on Thursday night, the Lord allowed Kyle & Joan Bartholomew and Elena & I to restore Bruce & Norah Teague to the Lord! The Teagues were fulltime in the LA ICOC and planted the “old East Region” which grew from 23 to over 1,000 disciples! Sadly, a few years ago, they fell away, but Damon & Vicki James reached out to them and so they began to regularly attend the Central Region Services a couple months ago.

During the counting of the cost, Bruce had a concern that our “restoration process” of coming before the church on Sundays was or would become a “ritual, tradition or even a false doctrine.” So I said, “Well remember, different from the Mainline Church of Christ and many ICOC congregations today, who believe there must be a command, example or inference in the New Testament in order to have ‘a practice,’ God’s new movement believes that we are free to improvise ‘any practice’ as long as it does not contradict the Bible.”

That said, I asked Bruce if he believed in the “restoration process” of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15? Bruce said, “Absolutely!” I replied, “Then here’s what we can do: Let’s invite the Central Region Leaders over to Kyle’s house to ‘kill the fattened calf’ (rib eye steaks that I will personally pay for!) and then Norah & you can share at that time and be restored! He wholeheartedly agreed! So Thursday evening, not only were steaks tastily prepared and cooked by Kyle, but Elena & I (before the Teagues shared and also like the Father in Luke 15) gave the Teagues robes – bath robes from Kohls! (No, we were not able to secure rings and sandals!)

In the Bartholomews’ smoke-filled kitchen,
Bruce & Norah are presented with the
“fattened calf” celebrating
their restoration!

We ended this memorable evening sitting in a circle, and like Jesus after the Last Supper, we shared in communion! (1 Corinthians 11:23-25) I felt so blessed by the Lord, as that Thursday, April 11th was my 41st Spiritual Birthday! God is so awesome!

And now more detailed accounts from around LA…

Lou Jack Martinez of the AV Sector of the Central Region: To close-out this Sunday’s All Congregational Las Vegas Send-Off Service, I added a verse to the Glory SongNow we’re goin’ back to VEGAS to the ‘City of Sin,’ STORM the gates of Hades and MARCH RIGHT IN!!! (Mmhm…)”

Truly, it was a BAD DAY FOR THE DEVIL IN LA THIS PAST SUNDAY!!!!!! The entire service gave us all tremendous JOY to know that “Sin City” will now have the same FAITH, HOPE, LOVE and FAMILY that we have right here in the Antelope Valley!!!

Well, God continues to AMAZE us here in “The AV” as our Bible Talks keep cranking out visitors, studies, baptisms and restorations!!! Of note is the Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB) Bible Talk – led by Jason & Shalini Massman with Jason & Monique Aguilar helping – God gave them 25 VISITORS THIS PAST THURSDAY!!!

A familiar and impressive sight at the Edwards
Air Force Base are the F-117 Stealth
Nighthawk Fighter Jets!

Jason’s creative “outside the box” thinking was to have Bible Talk as a “Passover Seder,” co-hosted by one of the “Jewish believers” who has been attending the EAFB Bible Talk for the past few weeks!!! They talked about how the Passover was the precursor to the Lord’s Supper. From all reports, the whole crowd was enthralled by the presentation! So now, we have 25 commitments for Bible Talk this week, where Jason is going to Scripturally cover true Discipleship!!! Please keep your prayers coming up the 14 Freeway to the Antelope Valley!!!

The EAFB Bible Talk – the Massmans
and the Aguilars!

Sal Velasco: Greetings from the Latin Sector of the Orange County Region! Our God is a God of great passion and compassion! Today we witnessed a phenomenal time of worship where so many came and were moved by the power of every aspect of the service!

We were so fortunate to have the privilege of baptizing a passionate, married man that is only 19 years old! Marlon came to our Marrieds Retreat about six months ago and started to attend Bible Talks and other events, but wasn’t willing to be totally committed to the studies or to church because of his job. However, a few weeks ago, he started taking the studies seriously. He realized that his job was not allowing him“to seek God with all his heart,” so he quit his job! He said that the life of the world had nothing worthwhile to offer him and that by becoming a disciple he would have a life worth dying for!

Additionally, we were able to baptize Lupita, the sister of one of our Latin disciples – Alma Cortez! I remember seeing Lupita at a Fourth of July event that we had at the park, but it seemed like she was not very happy in her heart. Since then, she has been visiting the church for months but when she went to the Latin Women’s Day, she was inspired to start studying the Bible wholeheartedly. As a single mom, she wanted to raise her son right and have hope that her family can change and one day become disciples as well. In Sunday’s fellowship, I ran into her sister who is not a disciple and she said that she has never seen Lupita so happy and so out of herself! Our God has great compassion for the fallen and passion through the young and zealous. May our God be glorified!

Lupita and Alma are now “double-sisters!”

Argo Arneson of the Inland Empire Region: Today at our powerful Congregational Sunday Service, our Lord blessed the University of California Riverside (UCR) students with the baptism of our new sister – Adi Vasemaca Labalaba Namatasere from Fidji Ailands! (Fiji Islands!) Before her baptism, Adi shared vulnerably that though she grew-up in religious family, she never really knew Jesus or what it meant to follow Him. She was very thankful to the sisters who studied the Bible with her and was baptized as a sold-out disciple of Christ! With her baptism, the UCR Campus Ministry has doubled from six to twelve disciples in just the past three months. Never forget, “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” (Hebrews 6:10)

The IE Sisters surround Adi who dreams of bringing
the gospel back to her homeland of Fiji!

Joel Parlour: Greetings from the OC Campus Ministry! Today was miraculous as we witnessed Amar baptized into Christ! Amar was introduced to the church by Clark Burrell through the church’s new annual Basketball League! As a star of the league – first in 3 Pointers, second in scoring, and a starter on the South All-Star Team – Amar was able to get to know much of the church quickly as the league attracts such a vibrant fellowship of disciples! Through the efforts of the South Region Team (Celtics), Cory, Kip, the OC Region and so many others, Amar was able to see and “feel” the love of the Kingdom!

Just as incredible, tonight a young man named Matthew was baptized into Christ! Matthew moved here just two years ago from a small city in Idaho a short 30 miles away from my wife Courtney’s hometown! Interestingly, upon moving to LA, he joined and was “baptized” into a Mainline Church of Christ “for the forgiveness of his sins.”

We met Matthew just a week ago because he introduced himself to some disciples after overhearing their Bible study on FJC Campus. Then after coming out to Bible Talk at my house Tuesday night, he stuck around for nearly an hour longer than everyone else! Seeing his urgency, we did multiple studies daily up until today! Matthew shared about the lukewarmness of the Mainline Church, the lack of commitment, and the extremely sparse sense of discipleship. More importantly, he shared that he had never become a true disciple of Jesus before he was baptized. He also shared how he had learned more in the last five days about the Bible than his previous 21 years of religiosity! So after holding Matthew under the water for just a few extra seconds at his request, he came up into his new life as a truly saved disciple!

Matthew is baptized by the OC Brothers
into the Kingdom of Light!

And now reports from around the globe…

NEWS FLASH – Ron Harding: Greetings from the hardworking Washington DC Church! The DC Church is making “history” telling “His-story!” In the words of Julie Clark, “Today was epic!” The entire day could be summed up in one word – “tears!”

We started off the service with our 110 disciples collecting an astounding $121,015 – over 25X our weekly contribution! This collection not only puts into the “Central Missions Fund” our gift to the movement for the plantings of Dallas, Las Vegas and Sydney, but nearly completes the collection of funds for DC to completely fund the Denver Mission Team planting in just eight weeks! Thanks to the inspiration of our Campus Ministry, courageously lead by the Denver Mission Team Leaders – Jeremiah & Julie Clark – all of our ministries joined in the “plundering of the world” as nearly half the church has come to love “tagging!” In five days of tagging, our “broke as a joke” – but amazing Campus Ministry – raised over $10,000 and gave a staggering total of over $24,000 for missions!

Jeremiah Clark presents most of the members of
the Denver Mission Team to the DC
Church on Missions Sunday!

Equally as exciting and blowing everyone’s minds today were the six powerful baptisms we were able to witness! We began with Antonio – a baseball player for Howard University – who gave up his engagement with his pregnant fiancée, who is on her second Bible Study! He shared in tears about his changed life and then came out of the waters of baptism in tears!

Then came Ruth from Ethiopia, who was met by our “Sister of Sound” – Jasmine Hunger! After her came Carla, who has five fiery kids, two of whom are teens who asked to study the Bible! Then Erica confessed,“Jesus is Lord” and was baptized into Christ!

Following, for the second week in a row, the Lord brought the house down as we saw another faithful disciple baptize his parents! This was one of the most special moments I’ve ever experienced, as our Singles Intern – Jason Reali – baptized his father Jimmy “Vincenzo” Reali, and then, they both immediately baptized his mother Deborah! Jim & Deborah’s sharing about being religious and suffering a lifetime of searching the many denominations for the truth is something that will forever inspire the DC Church and anyone who watches their powerful testimony on the DC Website!

While Deborah Reali looks on, Jim – after making
his good confession
– enthusiastically
hugs his son Jason!

The entire DC Church, including Tracy & me, are so grateful for the incredible training and example of the powerful LA Church, as well as the phenomenal prayer-filled guidance of our SoldOut Movement Central Leadership Council – spearheaded by the innovative leadership of Kip & Elena McKean. They together with the Sullivans are teaching Tracy & me to work very hard at “staying out of God’s way!” We are utterly amazed and humbled by the power of our God who truly made everything happen! The price: Death! The experience: Priceless!

Through their humility, Ron & Tracy Harding have
led the DC Church to unparalleled heights!

Kithy Ranga: “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (1 Timothy 6:12) Greetings from “Salt City” – Syracuse! After an incredible and faith-building weekend last week when God allowed us to blow out our Special Missions Contribution, the professional single sisters’ Bible Talk became “salt-seasoning” in the life of Lael! (Matthew 5:13) She is an Academic Coach at the Onondaga Community College. Lael powerfully and with many tears shared immediately before her baptism about her gratitude to have found God and His precious family of believers! Please continue to pray for Syracuse to bring in the harvest! To God all the glory and honor!

Lael joins the Syracuse Sisters as
the “salt of the earth!”

Raul Moreno of Sao Paulo: “He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents.”(Malachi 4:6) Today was a great day as Jardila was restored to the Lord! She was baptized in 1991 here in Sao Paulo and was a very fruitful sister, but unfortunately, she fell away five years ago. She decided to get restored when she saw the changes in her 19 year old son Lucas, who was baptized just one year ago. Lucas grew-up in our former fellowship, but did not want to be baptized there because of the lack of commitment that he saw. Today the angels are rejoicing in Heaven with her restoration!

In addition, Joao Carlos was baptized today! He too was invited by the same Lucas above! Joao Carlos is also 19 years old and is a campus student. The Lord blessed our dear brother Lucas, as he was fruitful today two times! Let’s all imitate his faith and bear fruit for the Lord!

At 19 years old, Joao Carlos imitates Lucas’
persevering faith to be baptized!

Chenelle Patterson of Orlando: “I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out a conqueror BENT ON CONQUEST!” (Revelation 6:2) Greetings from the forceful Orlando International Christian Church! This weekend, we held our First Annual Campus Retreat entitled, BENT ON CONQUEST! We were so privileged to have Anthony Patterson – a faithful “rock” in the Phoenix International Christian Church, as well as Coltin Rohn – the evangelist of the recently planted Boston International Christian Church – come camping on the beach with us! These two brothers are so dear to my husband Mike’s & my hearts, as Mike and Anthony were able to study the Bible with Coltin in Phoenix, Arizona, “the spiritual desert” where the Spirit gathered all four of us just five years ago!

The zealous Orlando Campus Ministry!

Sunday, Coltin preached a powerful lesson entitled, THE FOUR HORSEMEN based on Revelation 6! His call to “cowboy up” challenged many to make life-changing decisions as soon as possible! We are so grateful for the hearts of Coltin and Anthony to give and encourage all the members of our congregation! Pray for us in the Sunshine State to“bear much fruit” and continue to glorify God in the Southeast United States!

As guest speakers, Coltin and Anthony are given
2013 Central & South American Missions
Conference t-shirts brought back
by Matt Sullivan from Chile!

Coleen Challinor of Portland: Greetings from the City of Bridges! This week, the Lord has been blessing the church in so many ways! First of all, we were privileged to have Mandee Rohn visiting her family this time with “little Hailee.” It was most encouraging to me to get some time with her as we celebrated her birthday with little Hailee at the infamous Cafe Yumm!

On Sunday, the worship service was electric with so many visitors and several fallen away disciples looking to be restored! So encouraging to all, we ended the service with a Latin woman baptized named Mari! Our very own vibrant Latin ministry leader Marcos Lopez met her husband a couple of months ago and both of them studied the Bible. Prayerfully, her husband will be getting baptized soon! Please pray for us as we continue to bring in the fruit for our God this Spring!

Heidi Santa Cruz: Bonjour à tous de Paris! (Hello to everyone from Paris!) It has been an incredible weekend here in Paris, as this Sunday all the disciples – especially for the Californians – were encouraged to see the sun come out and shine bright! God encouraged us with 75 degrees Fahrenheit! (24 °C) It has been about seven months since it was last 70 degrees (21 °C) in Paris! On Friday night, disciples gathered at a small café for Anthony Olmos’, our awesome Campus Leader, surprise Birthday Party! Not only was Anthony surprised, but our dear sister Krista Cameron was as well, as Victor Komo from the London Church came and recited a poem and at the end asking her IN FRENCH: “Tu vuex devenir ma petite amie?” (Would you like to be my girlfriend?) And of course she said yes!

Finally, God gave me the opportunity to be accepted into the Sorbonne last year (the Harvard of Paris), and so come on the Paris Mission Team! Again God is opening the doors to attend a second year, but I ask for your prayers, because I still have an interview to pass in French and it is extremely competitive. Thank you everyone for your prayers and continued financial sacrifice!

Maria Franklin of Chicago: “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Isaiah 61:1-2) This week, God poured out His blessings on our congregation with four additions – 3 baptisms and 1 place membership!

Continuing the harvest of souls from last week’s Women’s Day, on Wednesday night Ashley and Charisma were “released from darkness!” Ashley is an incredible addition to the powerful Downtown Singles Ministry! Charisma amazingly has been coming to the“meetings of the body” consistently for a year-and-a-half, yet remained hardhearted! Encouragingly, the sisters persevered with love and the Word until the “hammer of the Word that breaks a rock in pieces” (Jeremiah 23:29) broke her heart, and Charisma was able to humbly declare, “Jesus is Lord!”

Then at Sunday service today, Nakieta was baptized and added to the Mighty West Campus Ministry! Nakieta has been a longtime friend of our dear sister Bonita, and today, they became sisters in Christ! Last but not least, we welcomed our wonderful sister Kacie Comisford into our family! It was inspiring to welcome her with the congregation singing We Love You With The Love Of The Lord! Lastly, as we continue to gear up to blow-out Special Missions Contribution, we joyfully collected over $3,500 yesterday through our tagging efforts! Keep us in your prayers! We love you all!

The Chicago taggers receive free food from
Culvers, Pizza Hut and Jimmy John’s during
Saturday’s very successful tagging!

Kia Pope of London: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” (Matthew 13:44) Greetings from Great Britain! It was an amazing Lord’s Day in London as God added three more to our number!

The service started with the announcement of our 2013 Women’s Dayentitled, The Search which will be held on May 4, 2013! Then, we heard a powerful, thought-provoking sermon, No Guts, No Glory! Michael challenged and inspired not only the disciples but the guests to realize that when disciples have “no guts,” God is robbed of the “glory!” We were greatly encouraged to have George & Angelica Grima place membership today, as they secured a flat directly across the street from the old Beatles’ recording studio! George & Angelica will begin building the West Region starting the “Abbey Road” Bible Talk next week!!!

One of my best friends Mary-Jane Amaegbe moved the hearts of everyone for communion as she shared vulnerably about her past abuse and how God allows us, as new creations to celebrate the great victory and hope we have through the cross. Immediately after, the campus sisters gathered to take the good confession of Kenny, a Social science student studying at Birkbeck University.

A year ago, Kenny had to withdraw from fashion school at the University of Brighton (near the coast) due to a lack of financial aid. She would later return to the city of London in hopes of finding another school to continue studying. “Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession,” as a door was opened for her to study at Birkbeck University just minutes from where we have our Campus Bible Talk. (2 Corinthians 2:14) Kenny shared in tears how grateful she was for God and His plan in helping her to find the “London’s hidden treasure” – God’s Kingdom. Inspired by Samuel’s heart to commemorate the victory of God’s people with a “memorial stone,” we presented Kenny with a “friendship stone” – marking not only the eternal friendship she now shares with her new sisters in Christ, but symbolizing the start of her new relationship with God!

The joy of the Lord is Kenny’s strength!

There were several tears alongside smiling faces as we said goodbye to our sister Ashley Kimbrough of NYC. Ashley came as an exchange student to the London Fashion School and gave her heart to all the disciples from the moment she arrived with her “gentle and quiet spirit” and cool fashion style! Can’t wait to see her again at the GLC! Finally, please pray that we can blow-out our sponsored walk and “bucket shaking” to present a very special offering to our God on April 28th!

Blaise Feumba – the overseeing Evangelist of French-speaking Africa: The Lord is moving powerfully! I was graciously offered a plane ticket by “an angel of a disciple” to travel to Abidjan to meet with Amadou – the evangelist over Ivory Coast, as well as to encourage the saints of this great nation. I was welcomed at the airport with so much love by a delegation of sold-out disciples! I was and still am moved by the love of the Abidjan Church since my arrival!

Last week, in our little house church three disciples (a couple of hours outside of Abidjan) had eight people baptized into Christ! God added to our worldwide movement: Frank, a former preacher, his wife Tatiana, Marie Noelle, Clarisse and his brother Pierre, and our “Grandmas” – Eugenie, Taoua and Yvonne! And at Midweek Service, we had 45 in attendance! Presently, we have about 20 people on the list waiting to complete the First Principle Studies and be baptized!

Amadou (left) and the Abidjan disciples
overwhelm Blaise with their love!

MERCY also offered shirts and clothes to a group of poor people in the town. The town was so moved to see the Kingdom of God in their midst that the Chief of the town welcomed us and offered the church 3,000 square meters of land to be used as we see fit! My last Bible Talk on campus witnessed 30 visitors fired-up to study the Bible! This weekend we had an inspiring conference with disciples from Abidjan, Hire and two others cities entitled, Seek First The Kingdom Of God! Please pray for the harvest in West Africa!

Andrew Smellie of New York City: “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.'” (Revelation 7:9-10 emphasis added)

Throughout its history, New York City has been a major point of entry for immigrants, with the term “melting pot” being coined to describe its many immigrant neighborhoods! As many as 800 languages are spoken in New York City, making it the most linguistically diverse city in the world!

According to the 2006-2008 American Community Survey for the U.S. Census, the Hispanic/Latino population in New York City makes up 27.5% of the NYC population, or 2,287,905 lost souls from cultures including Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Columbia, Equador, Dominica and many others! In order to meet this significant need and fulfill the dream of many Spanish-speaking disciples within the church, today we witnessed the inauguration of the NYCICC Latin Ministry, as Saul Saavedra and Maria Garcia were introduced as the new Latin Ministry Leaders for the church! Saul and Maria received silver Statue of Liberty statuettes – a universal symbol of freedom – to remind them of the vision God has given us to “proclaim freedom for the prisoners” of sin throughout New York City! (Luke 8:18b) At the present time, our Latin Ministry will be centralized in the Bronx Region of the church, as the Hispanic/Latin population of the Bronx makes up almost 50% of that region!

Maria and Saul receive replicas of the Statue of
Liberty to commemorate the initiation
of the NYC Latin Ministry!

To put the stamp of approval on our efforts to meet the needs of this great city, the Lord blessed the faith and zeal of one of our Latin brothers, Davis Abreu, by enabling him to reach out to the famous rapper/actor Earl Simmons (a.k.a. DMX) immediately following service! DMX has sold over 30 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling hip-hop artists of all time!

Born in Yonkers, an area just north of our Bronx Region, DMX was recognized and met by Davis at a Starbucks down the street from where we meet for our church service on the Lower East Side! Davis boldly persuaded him to come and meet the brothers of the church, and God moved DMX’s heart to not only join us with his family, but to also pray with the brothers and give us his phone number! Please pray for God to move his heart to become a baptized disciple of Jesus Christ and to repent of the error of his ways as we continue to boldly proclaim the truth throughout the NYC area! And to God be all the glory!

The NYC Brothers boldly reach-out to DMX
and pray with him and for him!

Raja Rajan of Chennai: Greetings from the land of 330 million gods – India! This week the Lord added to our number four new souls –Samuel, Narendar, Linto and Karthik!

Roger and Naresh baptize Narendar in
the gorgeous Indian Ocean!

Linto was two days old when he was placed in a home of 26 children cared by a lady whom he calls “Mom.” Linto now rejoices as he was adopted by his “Father in Heaven” and thus into His precious family – the church! (Galatians 3:26-29)

Linto rolls out of the waves arm-and-
arm with Aneesh and Denny!

“They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech, though I never commanded, nor did it enter my mind, that they should do such a detestable thing.” (Jeremiah 32:35) One cannot help but wonder whether this could happen today. Karthik was 14 years old when his mom wanted to sacrifice him to her god! So to save his life, he ran away from home and since then Karthik has been in search of the true God. He has now decided to be a “living sacrifice” to the one true God as a baptized disciple of Jesus Christ! (Romans 12:1)

Suresh and Simon share Karthik’s joy in being a
living sacrifice for the one true God!

We also had five brothers and sisters visit us from the New Delhi Remnant Group. They went home inspired after being in the fellowship and witnessing the baptisms!

Dearest Brothers & Sisters, On Saturday, April 13, 2013, the Bordieris, the Untalans, Elena & I, and Michael Kirchner, quietly celebrated Sharon Kirchner’s 50th Birthday! As I shared there, I know of few disciples with the zeal to serve so many of our physical families as well as to visit the sick in the hospital like Sharon! Her husband Michael “praised her” in sharing that the Bible Talk that they started in their small two bedroom home just three years ago has been directly blessed by God with 24 baptisms! (Proverbs 31:28-31) Truly, God has given us an amazing sister in our incredible spiritual family! (Mark 3:31-35)

Sharon’s awesome yet intimate 50th Birthday Party!

Let us continue to pray for God to gather His remnant (Nehemiah 1:8-9); to bless us with bountiful Missions Contributions; and to be with the Las Vegas Mission Team who arrived in Vegas on Sunday evening!

Pray for boldness for Jason & Sarah Dimitry and
the entire Las Vegas Mission Team!

Elena & I are looking forward to seeing many of you at the Las Vegas International Christian Church Inaugural Service on May 19, 2013!And “may the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.” (1 Corinthians 16:23)
Much love,
